That is one gorgeous jade...I've never seen this variety

Most of my Jades are in ground here in Zone 10a, but this one I overwintered in the greenhouse its first year. Pretty fast grower and retained a good deal of color through the winter. It will go outside if it ever warms up in Northern Califronia this year!

Can anyone tell me if this plant maintains its color throughout the year?

I purchased it from "kipiii" on eBay, and, while the small plant arrived with much yellow and with orange tips, once I planted it in good soil, and provided decent care and balanced fertilizer, it immediately turned solid green -- permanently.

I wondered if the color had been generated in a common green jade by depriving it of certain nutrients. Now I also wonder if varying temperature might have been used.

Temperature and sun exposure have an effect on them. Here in Calif., we see many large ones in landscapes that are this color because they do not get fertilized or pampered.
