Cereus peruvianus

I just saw this same specimen (I think) at Huntington Gardens yesterday. I love the horizontal channels in the vertical stem lobes, making the whole plant appear corrugated. I grow several other clones of "Peruvian torch", but mine lack this corrugated appearance. I wish this form had a separate name so I could look for it.

amanzed,
I suspect that your other clones are a different Cereus species. There's a few different Cacti that could possibly be called 'Peruvian torch'.
If you will post up a photo or two in the identification forum of your clones, we could all have a look at it.

I did a google search and found this site that refers to the form that Palmbob has pictured here listed as
Cereus repandus 'grenadensis'

(Technically, it should be written as C. repandus fa. grenadensis)

Xeno: belated thanks! I will keep an eye out for this Grenadian form.
