about giving up raising chicken! I am FED UP! We just lost our last rooster (Purebred Bantam) few days ago. NO rooster here! I have only two hen and 5 younger chickens. I think one of them is a rooster. We got up early morning at 2am after Dh heard Teddy barking and I went out and he was running toward to the back of woods.. We went to bed and woke up and I went and saw some feather was all over in back yard. I noticed the hen was alone. I hve other hen which it is in the pen with the baby chicken. So we knew it might be coyota or othe critters. Boy, I am so mad but I can't do anyting. I love chickens. I really need to build a coop but money is tight for us.
