moving blooming trumpet lilies?

i was wondering if i could move these trumpet lilies now? they have blooms on them , but are in a bulb bed with gophers, and i am affraid they will eat the bulb... is it safe to move them now with blooms on them? thanx for any info...

I think it would be better to move than to let them be eaten.
It says when digging lilies dig deeper than you planted them because they go deeper as they grow.

have you tried anything to get rid of the gophers? i have mole trails and the voles have eaten some of my hostas.....but if you need to move them it is better to remove them and not loose the bulbs. cut off the flowers for a vase. no more than 1/3 of the stem and move the rest. fertilize when moving. look for bulbettes on the underground stem and the dirt, you can also move and plant these.
