H. tsangii

Celaya, Mexico(Zone 10a)

or thats what I'm calling it LOL.
Anyways, Carol the one from you originally called burtoniae that you corrected to tsangii now bloomed. Though not the prettiest as of now since flowers point in all direction, they are still cute. Interesting is the fragrance of Butterscotch (at least that's how I perceive it).
Can't wait until my other tsangii blooms as this one has larger, more elongated leaves than the one in the pic. Also got one labled bilobata from Paul Shirley which is kinda inbetween the two of them with a dark border around the leaves, but this one had dried up stems and "dehydration" might have caused the leaves to appear that way (it's under the recovery plastic bag right now :)

Great...it isn't the "dropdead beautiful" type of hoya...but it makes a nice full pot and I love the fragrance... Yes, butterscotch. H. heuschkeliana smells the same...and I think H. brevialata has that same earthy butterscotch fragrance.

When the "other" H. tsangii blooms, you might send the flower pics to Chris... Or..it could be just a different clone of H. tsangii. You might ask her for her way of determining the difference between H. tsangii and H. burtoniae...there is a way from the leaves, but I don't know it. H. tsangii and H. heuschkeliana look great planted in the same pot...they compliment eachother well.
