can anyone tell me if a wisteria blooms on new growth or old
I am growning one and I want to cut it back this fall it hasn't bloomed as of yet just want to make sure that I don't keep it from blooming
wisteria question
Wisteria need pruned in the summer..its gives the stems time to mature so buds form before spring.they bloom on the spur like growths off the main woody stems.
Thanks Eclipse.... would around august be ok or should I do it earlier I can't rember when it want dormante last fall we don't have frost until after january thats it we have one at all
Early August for you guys down south...pruning the roots helps sometimes too.
