Buddleias were considered a weed in the UK. Apparently they orginated in China but when they were brought to England their seeds germinated everywhere and are to be seen especially along railroad lines in towns. We called them 'Butterfly Bushes' and I used to have some in my garden.
That reminds me, I must get some over here in Arizona. I have seen them offered for sale locally so I guess they must like the hot sun.

Well, It gets pretty darn hot here in Tombstone, AZ and they are doing well. They are fairley new and seem to have adjusted just fine to the hot sun. I ordered mine from Wayside Gardens on line. There web site is www.waysidegardens.com
