Pink Beauty
Ahhh...I just love it! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful bloom, Happenstance.
Wow, pretty!
Thanks, I like her too. This was a cutting from BarbW that I got last October. She spent the winter in the ground and came through like a champ.
Just went to take anothr look at her......what's she doing?? Playing peek-a-boo? Silly girl is being shy and has closed up and gone back to sleep at 9:30 AM.
Very pretty!!!
She looks great. Maybe she is protecting herself from the hot part of the day.
She's just beautiful, Candy -- can't wait til mine blooms again. Thanks for your beautiful pix as always!!! Gretchen
Thank you all.....I think she's pretty special, my first cutting from a DG member to bloom! But, I think she's gonna be a party girl.......she's still closed up & sleeping, so does that mean she's gonna be partying all night! I'm too old to do the all nighter thing anymore!
pink beauty is on my top ten.....
She's gorgeous Happenstance...another beautiful addition to your garden!
duh.. I was wondering what my PB was.. now I figured it out.. Pink Beauty... can't wait to see mine bloom as yours is gorgeous.
I just got a pink beauty from Barbara....it looks beatuful ! So glad I chose it for one of my pinks! Lovely photos too, Candy!
WOW, that looks unreal.
Sure is a beauty! Give her a sniff for me,sorry you have the heat, looks like you have more blooms to enjoy.
HappenStance your photos of PB are great. I kept mine in the greenhouse over winter. It bloomed in March i think and i was really happy for all those blooms, but they were surely pale compared to yours. Donna
Your pictures are a real inspiration for me.. thanks for sharing.. I can hardly wait till I get a pink bloom.
Very pretty. I like the tenderils on the blossoms. It sure does look waxy in some of the pics. Very nice color. Put me in line for a cutting! Bj
Pink Beauty hasn't set any more buds, but is still growing fast. It's been really HOT the last 10 days or so and she seems to love it.
The point about the "waxy" images seems to come up a lot and I can't explain it for other members images, but here are some of my observations:
The waxy look is more pronounced in night images taken with a flash. The waxy look is more prevelant on blooms that open at night. And I see the natural waxy look on Charles Grimaldi when it opens on cool mornings before the heat of the day warms the plant and the air. Certainly not based on anything scientific, just some observations I have made.
