I was sent a cutting a couple years ago labeled LSU Special. It looks exactly the same as yours. I do remember reading sometime back that it was developed at the Univ. of Southern Louisanna - hence USL. I'm pretty sure mine is giving credit to the wrong university & is mislabeled. I probably won't keep it over another winter. Too many lookalikes already. Most of the pink suavs will be going.

It's named after the University of Southern Louisanna where it was developed. It's like a short FP with a large flower.
