We have just added Dragon Fruit to our Tropical Fruits catalogue. As soon as I added it to Ebay we started getting sales right away. At this time we are buying from a wholesale grower, however we will most likely start growing ourselves this fall. I admit that I don't know enough about this fasinating cactus that bears fruit. There's some info online but I am looking for as much as i can get that's honest, real and especially those of you who live up north and grow these in containers. Many of my customers live up north and we try to focus on selections that can be brought in during winter under lights.
Please also email me if you can and post here.
Thanks,
Tamara

Growing Dragon Fruit
I had never heard of this common name for Hylocereus undatus. Here's a link that should give you more than you ever wanted to know (some of the names such as Cereus, Echinocereus, Stenocereus, Myrtillocactus are either outdated or wrong): http://toptropicals.com/html/toptropicals/articles/cacti/pitaya.htm
Thanks I was wondering what is Dragon Fruit, it must be the dragon's eat them. (Lizards') LOL never heard that term used. Many cactus fruits are ediable. Some various species of Rhipsalis. I always make my boss eat it first before I try it. LOL Norma
CAUTION:
Don't eat mushrooms unless you are an expert.
Let someone else eat it first.
Many cactus have ediable fruit/pads including opuntia
Be very careful, ask first before going to the hospital
