Kell-Pottery Works purchases...

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Went yesterday to the San Leandro store, (other one in Richmonnd is just a warehouse) and here's my find...none big enough here for bigger brugs but I couldn't pass up the deals for other plants. All for $45. The stack of plastic one w/attached trays I beleive are 10 gal ones, they were $2 a piece. Good for my new bruggies. All the others are glazed clay, that Mexican one next to the stack with a missing handle, $5. The biggest in the back was $10. The 4 mid sized ones were all $5 and the next smaller was $4. The two smallest with absolutely nothing wrong with them were $1 each, they have an attached tray and I will put a couple of orchids in those. All the others had chips, you can see some on the top edges, some along the bottom like the green one in the front. But turn them toward the back or plant trailers and you would never know.

They look very nice Sue...I'll have to get the address/directions to the shop from you. Maybe Tracy would like to take a ride!

Happy planting! and have a good week-end!

I used to shop @ that pottery place in Richmond for my shop. I still have stuff I bought from them 5 years ago. Great prices.
I have a Chinese water pot, I love it but it leaks, so I'm making an overflowing water pot out of it, so the seeping won't matter!
I live 5 hours from there, so not like I can just POP in there! Rats!
Guess I'll have to make a trip down that way & come visit some of you Brug Buddys!

Did they have a lot of those plastic pots? Is Pottery Works adifferent store from Nor Cal?

Thanks Sue. ohhhhhhhhhhh is that the store that is on Hesperian Blvd, down from Target?

Should have had more coffee before posting....this was Nor-Cal!! You take the Marina exit in San Leandro. We did stop at the AW Pottery Works in Oakland as well, guess thats' why that name stuck. It was NOT a discount place...at all.
Kell, my Mom and I bought all the remaining plastic ones they had but I am sure a call down there next week will be able to tell if there are any new ones from those 27 pallets. I know I will be visiting this place often! Now I just need to order a truckload of potting mix!

LOL Sue. and here I thought you had found me a new place! I will have to check it out next week then. Though my husband has banned me from that place years ago!
Thanks
