Does anyone know a source for seeds/plants of the other Mucuna varieties?... Someone told me there was a yellow, a white and a purple...would love to find some.
Any help out there?

Mucuna varieties...sources?
Aloha nui loa Carol,
Heres someone that sells the purple form as seeds.Don't know if they can sell them to Hawaii though. Could get out of hand in your climate. www.greendealer-exotic-seeds.com
They are in Kentucky.
Thanks so much, Eclipse. HI hasn't closed the door on the Mucuna YET...we have the red one across the front of my husband's shop and the Green Jade covers an old chicken coop that has become a shade house...secret is pruning them way back and often!!!
Thanks again...

Not sure which purple you are looking for(dioclea sp., or the mucuna pruriens)
Yes, greendealer had the pruriens.
Driftwood gardens has the red, and Nicky's had the purple(dioclea), but they are sold out.
Driftwood not only has the red, but they are VERY cheap!
You ought to check them out!

Thanks, Seedpicker. I have the red and the green...I would love to grow the other 3 (?). We have 12 acres so lots of room!!!
Aloha,
Carol
could you, by chance, give me links or addresses to Driftwood and Nickys?
Thanks
this is driftwood gardens: http://www.driftwoodgardens.com/
this is Nicky's seeds: http://www.nickys-nursery.co.uk/seeds/
Nicky's had seeds that turned out to be purple for another person here on Daves. Mine haven't bloomed, yet, so not sure about the color. They may actually be the white that is described, or be like the other person, and be purple.
Driftwood-red.
Thanks for the links...seems Nicky's is out of the white...but I did learn what the wonderful seedpod we always found on the Mexican beaches is...the white Mucuna. We called it Deer's Eye.
But..I fell in love with one called Ecremocarpus scaber - Chilean Glory Vine. Anyone know anything about it (before I carpet Hawaii with a new invasive species?)
