Neato. The opened flowers look like fiber optic lighted toys or something.
I noticed my last 16 pictures just posted without appearing in the newsletter. Did any of yours get released like that? I was waiting for them to get posted before I send any more in. I found a new plant yesterday in the woods...climbing milkweed...and it is not listed here at Dave's. So I will try to add it soon. It has striking maroon flowers.

I just clicked on your member page and looked at your recently posted images...I see a lot there that did not appear in the newsletter, too. One day I got the newsletter and it did not have any pics, maybe that was the day.

There were so many photos of the blooms, I added the buds so as not to be repetitious. The newsletter didn't have photos on Sunday or Monday I think. I have been checking the forum so as not to miiss anyones photos. Just click on "Return to the PDB Pictures forum" above. A climbing milkweed ... never heard of that one. It is such fun when you find something new.

I dug up one of the vines from the woods...the climbing milkweed...actual name is Matelea decipiens...it is now in a pot and looks quite happy. Too bad the bloom time is not longer. I posted a closeup of the flowers that has not appeared here yet.
The little cyclamen seedlings have grown a lot! No flower buds yet, but the foliage is really nice to look at. My Peruvian lily has made a new shoot and it is forming flower buds! How are your things doing?

Everything is doing grerat, but the one fern, It has only one limpy leaf now. I will anxiously wait for your climbing milkweed photo as you anxiously wait for the cyclamen and Peruvian lily blooms.

The maidenhair fern does indeed sulk a while when disturbed. It is probably busy building a rhizome for you and then it will go to sending up fronds later.
Do you have the American maidenhair there (A. pedatum)? It does well here once established, although it is not seen too often in the woods. It is taller and bigger than the rosy maidenhair I sent you. It is fully freeze tolerant, too. When I divide it, it is a year or two before it looks like much. Let me know if you want to try a piece of it.

I think I may try a piece of the rosy maidenhair outside this winter, even though it is supposedly only hardy to zone 8.
