Hello, Bakersfield! I grew up in Shafter. I grow the 'Niles' in Oak View now. Also grew well in Ventura. Am wondering, do you have any that have a new leaf shape? One of our plants developed a leaf with ridges.......have never seen a 'Nile' with ridged leaves. My husband also wonders if some of the blue ones change to white. We had an all-blue section that all of a sudden had a few white ones in it. Also like the deep-blue ones. These lilies are so easy to grow....they're great! We have a regular Nile river running down our yard.

Hi there, writing from Orlando. We have some Agapanthus too, but they seem reluctant to flower. They get full sun and regular watering. Any suggestions?

Maybe you can get your agapanthus to flower by feeding it fish emulsion. I have some silver cup bromeliads that seem to flower well out your way, but never here. I fed them fish emulsion, and now I have a flower -- first time in 10 years!

Hope some of you have tried that Alaskan fish emulsion fertilizer. I have tried it on many reluctant bloomers with great results.
