Hello htop, I am glad to see that other people like Texas thistle too.
We love them for their beauty and the fun they provide with the butterflies and the sphinx moths at night. We go out with a flashlight and watch them, they are amazing as big as hummingbirds.
Also the finches eat the seed and use the fluff for their nests.

Do you garden organically? and do you use native plants?

You are quite welcome and it was my pleasure. I do not do as much organic gardening as I should do. I do use a lot of purchased compost and very few chemicals. I try to use as many native plants as I can. I wished I had known more about the natives when I first started landscaping my yard. I would have done things a lot differently. Thanks for the offer of the seeds. I will let you know later.
