Anybody home?

Middlesbrough, United Kingdom

I don't see many of us posting here these days. I'm too busy to spend much time in my garden right now. But I go on days out to the countryside and sometimes write up my jaunts.

So how is everybody?

Bolton, Greater Manc, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

I am here Northerner, but you know how I am doing from elsewhere ;)

Weymouth, Dorset, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

I'm still here, but busy furiously trying to prick out all those [deleted] seedlings I was silly enoug to sow!! :-)

Hello psilo!!!!! Yes, I do know you!!!!

Hello sueone! Great bump into you again. I'm trying to decide what to do over the Bank Holiday? Do you have anything planned?

Castelnau RB Pyrenée, France(Zone 8a)

Yes, I'm here too :)

Just been so busy settling into the new house and garden
Battling with the waist-high grass and emptying hundreds of boxes.

Not joking about the grass - while mowing I discovered a driveway we didn't know we had!!

We have some relatives coming out for bank holiday week, bringing their paint brushes and gardening gloves of course ;)

Is the somewhere else OGG?
good luck with all those seedlings sue *g* (been there done that - as have we all LOL)

Bon jour Philomel, tu est bien? (not sure about that bit) Tous les amies arrivent pour les vacances? (Sorry, french very rusty :-) )
Is it going well there?
I went on a trip Northener, my sister took me to East Lambrook manor, it was just big enough that I could cope with. and it has the national hardy geranium collection, though I was a bit disapointed in that , i think that they were in the midst of re-doing the gardens. Bought a couple of plants though,
Poppy Beauty of Livermeer, had seen pictures of this one, but seeing the colour in real life was incredible,
A double geranium, can't remember name at mo,
and a dark joe pye weed, which always does well in my garden.
Did you do anything over the weekend?

Middlesbrough, United Kingdom

Yes, I'd a lovely weekend! A long walk through the Guisborough Woods on Saturday, followed by visit to a medieval fair on Sunday and the Duncombe Park Country Fair on Monday.

Weymouth, Dorset, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Will we be reading about it soon? I love going on your walks with you, makes life more interesting.
I'm sure if you were to write them in the general forum, loads of our friends abroad would be interested too.

Castelnau RB Pyrenée, France(Zone 8a)

Bonjour sue :D :D
Oui tout va bien merci

Very busy here but it's SO gorgeous
East Lambrook was one of my favourite gardens lots of years ago when we used to regularly camp near Frome.
Sorry you were disappointed in the geranium collection - that wasn't there back in those days. I've always loved both Beauty of Livermere and dark Joe Pie Weed, so thoroughly approve of your purchases *g*

You've been busy Northerner. Sounds fun - I look forward to reading about your latest adventures :)

Middlesbrough, United Kingdom

I write them all up in my head to you as I walk. But I'm a bit short of time right now for writing them up - getting close to working non-stop to complete my dissertation. And now my lecturer has asked to use some of the images I've taken of the Tees Valley in an exhibition he's involved in later this week. This is good news!

Mount Prospect, IL(Zone 5a)

This is exciting news, the best you've had in a while! Lets hope this will be a good year for you!!

Weymouth, Dorset, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

My sister bought me the book written by Margerie Fish, 'We made a garden' and it made me really cross.
Her husband sounded a right control-freak, almost to the point of being cruel, mentally.I love the terraced part, and would love to do that in my garden,as mine slopes sideways ,so the lawn is awkward, and just think how many more plants I could get in then!! :-)
Hope the dissitationm goes well for you. Did you have any joy trying to sort out your problems with the uni?

Middlesbrough, United Kingdom

Not really. The problems with uni still exist. I'll just have to try and move on and put it all behind me. My lecturer looked at my images this morning. He was delighted with them! He was going "Splendid! Gorgeous!" So he asked me to select 32 of them and do a spot of editing. Ive now handed them in to the technician - they will be made into a newsreel using some specialised software that the uni has. I think the lecturer will be pleased with them.

I'm back working on my dissertation again. I find my walks to bring down my blood pressure are consuming a lot of time. I'm obviously going to have to cut down on them or find something more efficient. It's only for a few weeks though.

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

I am excited to see the UK listings here, anyone from, or near Bury St. Eds?
