Butterfly is gorgeous Mary and your garden looks lush and beautiful. Could you share more photographs of your garden? :-)

Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

Those are gardenias in the background, not roses. I don't do roses very well because I don't have enough sun.

Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

Kell, yes, it gets darker, this flush is still pretty light and all of the flowers are small, too.

Montgomery, AL(Zone 8a)

Mary, how old is this brug? Mine has never had that many blooms at one time and it is 2 yrs old.

It's so beautiful.. We lives in same states.. I just wonder you leave that Butterfly brug in the ground around year.. or you move it inside during cold weather.. I want to ask cause it's brug tree instead bushes.. If it s tree. I would move it inside.. I dont want to lose a brug tree! lol..

Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

I keep it in a pot and move it inside. I do have some I leave in the ground.

Larry, I got this cutting last year and it grew into this size and bloomed a few flushes last fall, so it is starting its second year.

For some reason this thread has not been opening for me,I love it Mary,I love Gardenias,I have not had luck with them here,I bet it smells like Heaven right there!

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

MaryinLa, Beautiful brug tree. I hope to have something similiar in my yard this summer. I have a couple of small plants just showing buds and it is still spring here.

Actually we finally had some clouds and rain. It is wonderful. But I am still behind in my seedling planting from seeds I planted months ago. I don't find much time to sit down at my computer. Did take a few minutes this morning and now the machine is very slow so I must go out to the garden.

Great shot of your Butterfly. Donna

It does smell like heaven out there right now. Gardenias is my favorite, too, and I have a lot of them. Fortunately for me they grow like weeds here.

LOL, Barb, you are right, I already have 3 pods on this one, and I think 3 more I am waiting to see, I have a pod on Maya, 2 pods on Susanne, 3 pods on Vixen, plus more crosses I have made waiting to see if they took, I have definitely been playing bee this spring.

Good job. You have some good brugs! Susanne and Vixen.
