Question about planting other plants...

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

...in the same pot with brugs. My pot is large and I'd like to plant some red and white impatiens, sp, in the same pot but do know know if it would be good for the brug. Do any of you do that and has it worked out okay??

Also, this is for the pink club and I suppose it's probably old news but I picked up som Super Elfin Blush impaniens (is that the correct spelling - it is what is on the card) and some pink (and green) hypoestes and planted them together and they are unusually pretty and flashy...

Sherry, regular impatiens don't like a lot of fertilizer. They will get leggy. Monika uses New Guinea imps. so I've tried them this year and lots of coleus. They get along well with the brugs.

I just bought some coleus today....I could give that a try. My brugs are new and in 5 Gal. containers. Do you think I should wait until they are in 15 Gal containers before I plant in with them? Would a larger than 5 Gal. container be required for them this first year?

Just my opinion, but I think if you put them in a 5 gallon container, you will have to water a lot with the two types of plants both sucking up the moisture. If your brugs have some size to them, I'd go ahead and pot up in the big pots.
