Our collie is so hot in the summer time that he digs huge holes to try to cool off in. I was just wondering if I can shave his hair down to about an inch. I worry about sunburn, but with an inch of hair, he should be ok. His hair is so thick, especially in the hind quarters.
Can I do this without him having any ill effects?? He is so miserable, especially when it's both hot and humid. 90 degrees with 99% humidity.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
