Fayette, MO(Zone 6a)

Got home last night to see my very large "borrowed" angus bull discussing things with two just as large angus bulls across the busy little highway I live on. Thinking to myself I sure hope the electric fence is hot I better go check. Whoops, a short somewhere. That bull would probably just walk right through it if he wanted to badly enough. I got the fence charge checker in a hurry let me tell you. Seems my big guy likes to rub on cedar trees and knocked a small limb onto the fence from a tree he decided to scratch on. The discussion ended about an hour later with my guy walking off into the sunset.

A patient at the hospital I work at wants to sell me a head catcher and chute he made. When he feels better I will go check it out. Sounds like the only reason he doesn't want it is he bought one that he can move around from pasture to pasture. Since it must weigh close to a thousand pounds I doubt if I will move it once I get it in place. But, I am counting my chicks before they hatch. I haven't even looked at it yet.

Hubby a friend and myself are going to the farmer's market this morning. I love to go and usually end up finding something fun.

I have been picking a few strawberries. I need netting or something to keep the birds out.

Everyone have a great day.
