Golden Lady

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

My GL is finally showing color. I think it is because it is so cold here all week!

Very Pretty! Kell, I like them ruffley like that.
Everytime I see a new picture of one, I think OK increase the size of the Green House plans a little!
I started at 12X14, I think I'm up to 20X30. :)

Melba and Margie, unfortunately my GL gets mottled so I do not give cuttings out. Twice Monika has saved it from the garbage! Too bad too for it roots so easily. Last year I tossed about 20 plants of this one when the mottling showed up. Broke my heart. It is one that flowers on a small piece.

Bj I would love a GH. Get the biggest one you can. I have never heard a gardener complain they have too much GH space, but instead always too little. And sadly, I have none!

Can't wait for mine to bloom. She is a favorite double for me. Nice picture Kell.

Beautiful blooms Kell. I like Golden Lady but she performs well only in warm summers.

No Frannie and it only shows up once in awhile though it showed up on the cuttings before it did on the mother plant. I was wondering if others had it also on GL. It is so vigorous, it sure does not act sick. Kyle once told me that many brugs get it an dit is OK. I used to toss any that did, now I am getting soft in my ways.

Kell, Golden Lady tends to show mottled leaves, especially when the growing conditions are not ideal for her.

Hi Monika. I did not see you online. How are your brugs? I have been worrying about them even though I know you would never let the frost get to them. But really, snow in late May is just not right!

I think we should give out awards to you guys who fight so hard to grow your beautiful brugs. I do not know if I could do such a great job as you all do!

Believe or not, I am waiting anxiously for the snow clouds to come in because a clear sky all night will mean frost again. A cloudy sky would be better.
