ok i am trying again here to see if i can get one of these babies,mine didnt come back like they said and now where i was going to get it,dont have them any more didnt do good for them so now i am on the search for another one. i have tons of plants to trade i grew from seeds so if any one has one to trade and would be interested in a list i will be more then glad to post it plmk and thanks

I just got a really beautiful "Snowbanks"from Wayside Gardens. It arrived yesterday, and was in a pot and about a foot tall.... It is really beautiful.... my first varigated Brug.
If that fails, let me know and I will put you in my data base for a cutting of it this fall.

Gee, lindenlady, Wayside Gardens actually sends plants that are in good shape and alive? I had a bad experience with them, as did my girlfriend. I don't think I will ever order from them again, unless the prices are REALLY low.
I ordered snowbank from wayside also ($5.98) and it looked good when it came in. It was maybe 10 inches? Great side growth, definatley a good, solid rooted cutting.
Now, the question is....is it strong enough for me not to kill.? lol.
I ordered one from our Alice here on DG and it was so beautiful. Large, full and lush...like a gardening soul dreams of. Made it through the winter and on the last freeze I lost it. Wasn't suppose to get that cold so I didn't give it extra protection :( When I can I will order from Alice again, she sells cannas and such too. A PLUS is a fact she's a DG member.

Alice also sells on ebay, I think her name there is beloved. She has lots of great brugs and really knows her plants. I am sure she only sells the best.
Thank you so much for letting us know about Alice and her sites.... I will be checking her out.... I love to be able to do business with folks like that rather than the large companies...
I have had my share of failure from Wayside Gardens too, but this was a major sale and I really wanted that Snowbanks, so I just figured I would give them one more try. Glad I did, as I ordered 3 different items and All of them look good... Amazing... Maybe things are turning around over there.... Hope so.

She's also Karchesky Canna and a really nice lady.
Absolutely a great lady and a very busy one too. I'm always amazed at all the cannas she has to dig every fall. Makes me tired to think about it.
