Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Good morning!

A loverly 76* at 3:30 a.m. this morning - and a beautiful sun rise as I crossed the bridge - classic california sunrise over the water.

The two DD's are taking a music class at the Jr. College twice a week - means I've been staying up past my bed time waiting for them. DH sends me to bed and waits up for them, but I can't sleep when they're not home (unless they're at Grandma's or their Aunts'). So I just lay in the dark and plan gardens and woodlots in my head. Sooo... Last night I planned the asparagus patch. Double-dug deep with well rotted manure. Deer fencing, and wire fencing below the dirt line, too. (What the heck - the labor was pretty easy - in my imagination, at least!) I convinced myself that this will have to be one of the first things we do when we buy our place, since it will be at least two years before we can harvest spear in quantities to keep me satisfied!

May you have enough rain and enough sun to keep the harvest going another season! Take care, everyone!
