My DD's Schipperke, Fugi, is in surgery this morning. She has been ill for a couple of weeks and the vet treated her for worms, then with antibiotics for a possible intestine infection. She hasn't responded to treatment so my DD took her to the vet that had treated her when she lived in Homestead, FL, about 25 miles away. He X-rayed her yesterday and found that her intestine was twisted in several places which is very uncommon in small dogs. They tried Barium to see if it would straighten out, but no success. This morning they are going to open her and see what can be done, if anything. If not they will just let her sleep away. Prayers for Fugi and my DD, please. It is so hard to give up a furbaby.
