What kind are you growing? I think Jim picked a 5 gallon bucket of them and was hoping it would make 5 gallons of wine. I don't know what happened, but my best guess would be that he picked them too soon. The wine was nasty. Now he makes it from purchased concentrate and I have two arbors full of grapes that we don't use. The birds enjoy them though.

It looks wonderful B2B. Your garden looks so lush. Do you do it all yourself?

Beverly Hills, CA(Zone 10a)

Hey Liz, we do it all ourselves... that's why it looks like such a disaster!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

You've GOT to be kidding. Not a disaster, it looks great!

Shirley, I wish I knew what kind of grapes. What kind of shoes do you wear for stomping? I wonder if vinegar is easier than wine?

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Barefoot!

Beverly Hills, CA(Zone 10a)

Okay Rooty... we can stomp barefoot together when you get to lala land. I heard a rumor on the grape vine that you might be coming for a visit.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Bambi, root is right.....barefoot. LOL! The stuff Jim made wasn't as good as vinegar. My BIL made vinegar a couple of years ago. I think there is danger with vinegar unless it is pasteurized. We didn't die using his, but I might think twice if he makes it again. His was made from apples.

*****Visions of Bambi and Doc barefoot, knee deep in grapes! LOLOLOL

If I come to see Bambi, they will have a fit at the Airport,I am bringing my rubber kneehigh boots, never go anywhere without them!LOL!
Now to see if my Tiller will fit in the overhead?

Beverly Hills, CA(Zone 10a)

Come Root! I need a garden partner in crime.

I think that between Donna (SoCal) & I, we will be able to keep you really busy. Great nurseries are close to Donna.... but we could take a trip to Santa Barbara (tropicals, tropicals & more tropicals) Most of the BH landscape contractors buy there.... What a fun adventure! I sure would love to get away for a day & just look (buy) plants.
