One more Columbus OH new member saying Hello

Dublin, OH(Zone 5a)

Hi everyone.

Just want to say hello properly instead of hijacking other's thread. LOL.

I am new to DG and relatively new to gardening as well. I just started serious gardening last years. This season I planted some hedge roses and some miniature roses among other perennials. I think I will have my very first rose very soon. I am so excited. My hedge roses are not happening, hopefully they are still alive. Patience, patience. I started gardening to learn patience. So, I would be patient.

I am thrilled to be a member of this community. Look forward to learn from all of you.

Hi, Drop - welcome from just down I-70 in Nerk, Ahia! :) It's a family affair for us:

Howie - my husband
Lotusblossom - my mom
Whiterose - my aunt

Dublin, OH(Zone 5a)

Thanks! Hi, gardenwife, Howie, Lotusblossom and Whiterose.

It's wonderful you are surrounded by people who enjoy gardening. Most of my friends don't share my new found hobby.

I do have a question. When I read the messages on the forum, I saw the abbreviation "DH". What does it mean? Is it "Dear Husband"?

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Hi drop, welcome and glad to see you 'found' yourself a thread! You're right on the DH - I guess it could be dumb or whatever you want but others will read it as dear. LOL I printed a whole list of abbreviations when I started on DG and it helped a lot. Type 'abbreviations' in the 'Search the Forums' box on the right side and hit enter. You'll find a number of lists. Or else wait til GW gets back on line and she'll do a link for you! :)

Thanks for the tip, kooger. I would search for the keyword "abbreviations". Great suggestion.

I guess I like the abbreviation "DH" better. Hee, hee. I like the double meanings.
