Pink Beauty finally opened for me tonight. She's barely pink, and I'm hoping she'll deepen a bit tomorrow. Thank you Delisa!!!
I'm so excited...
Just wait another hour and you won't believe the difference. In the morning you will think it is a different brug. She is very pretty, even without color.
Gretchen, I can't wait to see it tomorrow. I've one as well, but I've never seen it bloom.
That is beautiful! Love that first photo. Can't wait to see more.
Thank you all!
A beauty.
Gosh! That sure was fast with the color change. How neat. You are really doing good Gretchen, all of your brugs look so happy and healthy.
Isn't the change of color so interesting! Post in the morning, PLEASE!
Congrats Gretchen! She beat out my 'Pink Beauty', which has buds that continue to increase in size but aren't what I call even close to opening yet.
Well, guys......I'm so bummed! The trials and tribulations of having a country garden. An aninal, probably a deer, broke off the one and only bloom. The other one was knocked off earlier this week just before opening. But, I did pick it up and take a couple of pics so you could see the color change. The best way I can describe it is a deep, rich salmon color -- my favorite. I think this brug will end up being my favorite if she starts producing...
Edited to add: The photo does not do the color justice. Must be the early morning light, because she is much more peachy than this depicts.

Kaufman Im still so happy for you! I have a some PF and CG and due to my lack of attention are still pretty small with no buds but, Ive gotten my butt in gear and they are showing new and better growth so Im keeping my fingers crossed.
Too bad Gretchen. Wildlife can be a problem for gardeners. Soon she will have enough buds that an animal knocking some off won't even be noticed.
Yes, I hope so... I have always planted a little extra of everything so I wouldn't hopefully notice too much the damage that wild things do to the garden, but I just didn't expect a brug to end up damaged... live and learn LOL!!!
Despite the damage and I KNOW how disappointing that can be, your Pink Beauty is wonderful!!!
What a nice pink! If this is anything like Rosamond it will bloom like crazy soon Gretchen. Such a disappointment!
Congrats to you Gretchen! Bummer what happened to the bloom tho. My PB cutting died so I don't even have any blooms to look forward to....boohoo!
Thanks all!!!
Pam -- that's a bummer! If mine ever get's big enough, I'll be happy to share a cutting in the Fall???
Beautiful bloom. It will bloom again and they grow fast-water and feed and you will have to fight it back with a stick- it will be growing so fast.
Oh thank you Gretchen!! I would love to have one!!
Happy to share with you, Pam -- providing like I mentioned that she survives the summer here! I've marked my calendar for September, but please, please remind me. I've become very feeble minded these days LOL!
LOL....now if I remember!
One of us will............A while back someone mentioned that they wanted Pink Floyd, and I told them to remind me and I'd send them a cutting in the Fall. Well, darn it! I can't remember who it was, so I hope they will remind me in September :) I guess I'm just going in too many different directions all at once these days. Anyway, I hope you have a blessed evening! Gretchen
ditto!.....
