well shoots, someone had to keep 'em!

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

We had to order an 18 wheeler of misc. Palms last week for a customer. Seems like we had a few too many.....terrible, terrible problem to be faced with.

hmmm, I think they look great right here, right in the corner of the yard.

(YAY!)

They are a nice size Lisa. Are they Sabals or Washingtonias?

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

Thank you Suz, the three nek-id top palms are sables, the one in the front, with weeping fronds, is a Ribbon Fan Palm-(Livistona decipiens)That one is over 16 feet. Still no Canary Island Palm...one day...sigh..one day. I was so close to a big Canary Island, but Jesse sold it before he made it home...drats!

Thanks Lisa, I knew those fronds on that big one just didn't look like Washingtonias, but the bark(is that what those things are called?) wasn't right for a Sabal. The Sabals grow wild here, but some have died from a virus. We have the Canary Island date palms wild too, there is one in the edge of my resaca. I think they are beautiful but they are soooo huge! Bill won't let me put one in the yard.

I'll have two of 'em one day! (suppose I am being a little greedy)

did you ever get my email about the gingers? I never got a reply from you (I thought that was odd). Suppose I should have resent it!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

No, didn't get an email, but that's not unusual, lol. My server loses about half of my emails some days.
Bill wants a bottle palm and I want a Traveler's Palm. I found a TP and hinted really hard for Mother's Day, but they didn't take the hint. There is a palm tree nursery right next door to where I work. He got in some beautiful fan palms the other day, haven't had a chance to ask him what they are, but their fronds are blue.

Remind me to plan a trip and vacation to come down there and kick your B*** for teasing me so!
You lucky girl!

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Lisa, your palms are beautiful. Lucky you!!!

Mount Hermon, LA(Zone 8b)

Lisa, I notice that the 'problem' palms are ALREADY PLANTED in the ground! LOL. Not a problem anymore! They are beautiful.

Lisa,
Your yard looks like a very manicured golf course. Looks really nice the way you've aranged those palms.

Hey Lisa, the palm guy has 6 Canary Island Date Palms! The blue fan palms he had were Bismark Palms.

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

Suz, is he a wholesale dealer, if so can you email me his name and phone number? Does he have other palms as well? Also, do they ship? Thanks for the info!

LSP, yep! we put those puppies in the ground as soon as Jesse came home with them! LOL! There was no arguement about it. If you notice in between the plams are a few Cedar Trees, those will get transplanted sometime this weekend.

Bugfreak, thanks for the nice words, but you just can't see the clover and various other weeds growing in the lawn..believe me, they are there! The lady who owned this house before us did a horrible job of keeping the lawn cut. I heard she used to let it grow waist high. We've been fighting weeds(and snakes) for the last 2 years!

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Wow! they are huge! And beautiful! Somebody had to give them a home!

Crestview, FL(Zone 7b)

Geez.. one of those would take up my entire front yard! They are gorgeous Lisa!
