I had finally found some seeds for white marigolds at a local nursery, and they sprang right up, but, just as quickly, they all damped off. (That's what I get for using garden soil for starting seeds.) I had been so excited about them that I planned my whole side garden around them. Now I have a big gap between my carfully calibrated pink four o'clocks and blue salvia.
I believe there are a few different varieties, among them French Vanilla and Snowball.
Can anyone help with seeds or starts? I'm happy to provide postage, and I have a few trades to offer: http://davesgarden.com/tl/Paris
{To my trading partners -- I finally made the long-awaited trek to the Post Office today! So, heads up!}
Seeking White Marigolds (pleeeeeeease)

Very exciting! I finally found a "Sugar and Spice" mix, that includes some white, and planted the seed yesterday, but it will be a long time before I'll be able to tell which are white and transplant them to my garden.
Thanks so much for responding. I'm emailing you.
so if you want them ill send them to ya i got about 4 different kinds
Wow! Four different white marigolds! You're on! I'll scour NY for native seeds for you. I don't know which, if any are unique to the state, but I'm happy to collect them for you. It is a long time before there'll be seed. I can try to send plants if you like. Please let me know if there are any in particular that you want.
