New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Now.. we got only one blooming. I don't know what color it will be.. I just pollinated it with Rosamond.. for fun! Is it too early to pollinate it? I couldn't remember who I got it from.. It was about 3 years ago from here DG. I will post some more pictures soon as it bloom full! I can't wait! It's under my patio.. keep it from raining and windy.

It is probably a suaveolens. Bet it makes you happy to see it blooming. Rosamond was a good choice for pollinating. She is a good parent.

Tricia, I could be wrong. I've never been good at ID.

My guess would be a suaveolens, too. It doesn't look versicolor at all to me. MiniSchnuz, versicolor blooms hang vertically or pendant rather than nodding, which your bloom appears to be nodding form. Let me see if I can find some pics for you to compare.

I agree with Shirley and Mary. Versicolors are pendulous and cone-shaped. Yours is trumpet-shaped and nodding with fused anthlers, which are all characteristics of B. Suaveolens. It looks a lot like my white B. Suaveolens.

Donna, your B. Suaveolens is gorgeous! It is much prettier than mine, and it has a lot of recurve. Yours could be a hybrid because I don't think B. Suaveolens has that much recurve normally. I have a cutting of your Monster White Suaveolens so I am happy!

Mini, it could only be a B. Suaveolens or a B. Suaveolens hybrid so you could mark it as either/or?
