Hi all,
Just wanted to let you know that if you run across this auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=25463&item=4302340251&rd=1 and were thinking of bidding because seller states its H. caudata, please don't. I don't consider myself an expert but I know this is not H. caudata.
Here is a link of what H. caudata's bloom looks like and what the leaves look like (although there is another hoya that looks similar in leaf). http://w1.422.telia.com/~u42205557/hoyasidor/hoya_caudata.htm
here is another variation; http://hoyaworld.tripod.com/my_gallery/caudata_sumatra.htm
To me, the auction hoya looks like one of the H. pubicalyx clones.
Gemila
FYI: This is auction plant is not H. caudata!
Yep, I agree that it looks like one of the pubicalyx 'Pink Silver' variants.
YUP...looks like a H. pubicalyx cultivar to me too...but impossible to tell which one until it blooms.
Sure looks like the pubicalyx I have. Did you "send the seller a message?" to tell them of their error? I usually do so, because lots of people are not trying to deceive but just plain don't know enough about what they're selling, which is admittedly nearly as bad.
I did send them a note... He seemed really grateful.
