Pollinated...I think 11/1/03. And I just squeezed them and they are still hard. So huge though. Biggest pods I have ever seen.
I do not think these are ever going to get ripe!!

Jeanne, you and Kell must be related to Susie. She was the best peeker I've ever known. I even went out and bought some of that liquid bandaid to seal up my cuts in the pods and then decided I'd leave them alone. Used the stuff on a finger cut one day and it burned. LOL!
Patience Kell. Those pods sure are big and no doubt hold some beauties within them.
With the lingering RK pods, I just stuck my fingernail in it and chunked out a piece of it. The seeds were still whitish. Then within a very short amount of time, they were ripe and the pods cracked!
Way to go.........Please tell us how many seeds these pods held, approx. of course.

Boy Shelly, you have good eyes. It is Jesse Noel. Isn't she a doll? The pink one is the oldest L'Amour bloom so it is pinker.
