About how many brugs do you have?

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

I'll go first...being new to brugs in the last 2 months...I have 8 with 1 on order and about 5 seedlings just starting to germinate. (planted about 30, but that is what has come up so far!)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Margie, I'm not sure I should even post my numbers, but I know that many others have more than I do. I just did a count tonight as best I could with them scattered all over the place and I have somewhere between 140 and 150 this year. Please don't tell my husband. LOL! Many are seedlings but I think a great deal of them will bloom this summer. I'm hoping anyway.

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Brugie...with my small numbers, I was just saying to my husband that my seedling were doing good and he asked what they were. When I said brugs, he said, don't get too many now!! Haaaaa!! He should only know the plan!!! Nay, he better not know the plan, he would veto it!!!

Linden, TN

I have had one Brug forever, but now that I have seen it bloom, I am tee totally hooked. In the past month I have acquired 24 more, many as cuttings, but 24 none the less.

Way, way too many! Enough to qualify for lifetime psychiatric care. They multiply like rabbits you know.

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

I started my brug collection with one White unnamed about 10-12 years ago, then a yellow, then a pink.
Last year I joined DG's and now I have about 20 different ones.LOL
They were always the star of my small garden but I had no idea what was in store for me until I found the brug forum..lol

I think they are more addictive than any plant I've ever seen.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

They surely are the most addictive plants I have ever known.
Think Kell is right, they multiply like rabbits.

Whitewater, WI

I'm afraid to look....probably 150 and up.....and planting more seeds

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

I don't know how many, but not nearly enough. LOL The only problem is that I'm going to have to either move or ask the neighbors if I can plant them in their flowerbeds, as I don't have room for any more. I may have to start digging up shrubs, etc. to make more room.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Look out Sylvia....you know you are addicted when you have to ask the neighbors for help!! When do we start our support group? LOL!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

This is true Gloria! Esp. since brugs are so much fun to cross and you only have to wait one seaon to get your results.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I have a few, not as many as I had last year though(1500). I have promised my DH not to get so carried away this year, but every time I go out and see an empty spot in the gardens, I think to myself that a brug or two would look good there!
Kell, when do the brugs annon meetings start?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I think we should have out first meeting at Monika's house. We can see first hand what long term addiction does to a person! We can then tour her brug gardens and alley and realize the evil of our ways and how we may end up too! One look at Rubirosa and I am sure we all would be cured.

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

I have a friend that recently went into the Travel arranging business! Shall I have her check out the trip? Although I don't enjoy flying, I'm game!!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

You just want to pinch some dark pink brugs Margie! You can't fool us!

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

When are we booking the flight?

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

YES....you are right kell !! Some nice dark pink/rose brugs! That is what I NEED ! Who said that I am becoming addicted?

What is the darkest, deepest I can find in the US? Do you think that Tracey will have some that would qualify as dark and deep rose?

Maybe it can save me the trip to Germany!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I see the beginning symptoms of addiction Picturelady, I don't think the trip to Germany can be avoided.

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

calalily...I guess you are right !! Maybe I should have my friend look into the trip of me/us...looks like minigrannie is game too!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I hope you have better luck than I do with dark pinks Margie! I do not think we get enough heat and humidity to get them. Where you are though it is probably hotter than where I am.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Hi all, back in town after half a week at the coast... I started my collection in January, and I have between 60-70 planted in the ground and 10-15 in pots... Of those, 30 are named cultivars and the rest are seedlings.
