Mobisu

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I found this picture in my files. It is Mobisu, a cross of the late Mrs. Mosimann. Mobisu is the only plant I have out of the B. sanguinea x flava group. She is robust and withstands even heat. Her flowers have a noticable sweet fragrance, inherited from the B. arborea parent. The flowers are yellow/peach/pink.

What a huge canopy for that trunk!!! In one short season it grows so huge? Do you have any close ups of the flowers, Monika?

Thats been on my wish list for YEARS!

I'd even give it a try if I could. If it can take your heat, it should be able to take mine, right.

Wow! I think I have seen a close-up once... she sure looks top heavy.

beautiful, Monika. I hate that we can't grow those down here...

I'm hoping to have blooms on mine soon. I have 2 plants from the Mobisu x from Monika's seeds. The leaves on both plants look different.

Lewiston, CA(Zone 7b)

Awesome flowers, Monika, Do you bring those in in the winter?
Zone 5, that's pretty cold. We almost froze last night, one more degreen & there would have been frost. I have all my sprouting sticks in the green hut still. If these sticks get that big, I think I'm gonna need a bigger green house!!!

I have to overwinter all brugs in the Greenhouse. The growing season here is very short. It is from Mid-May to Mid September. The plants have to be in shelter by the end of September because snow may be expected in the first Oct. week.

I love this brug. She is so pretty Monika!!
