a seedling in soil question...

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

I have some seeds in soil, in plastic bags, under lights! They are brugs and daturas. One or two out of maybe 8 in each tray have germinated and are about 1" high.

My question is, when do I take them out of the plastic bag ? Should I do it now, or wait until more of them germinate?

Seattle, WA(Zone 8b)

I took mine out of their bags after the popped up.....I found the ones I left in got very wilted from over moisture, and soon died of dampening off :-(
But hey I'm no expert, that's just what has been working for me.

Thanks rikerbear, that is what I was afraid of....I took them out of the plastic bags and I see a few more starting to come up. I will just have to be sure to keep them moist!

Now, I shouldn't transplant them until they have second leaves, right?

So I've heard....still working with my first seedlings too :-)

Yes Picturelady, wait for second leaves.
I always wait for more though...:)
