BIGGER POT!

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

the roots started coming out of the bottom of the pots, so these pretty little babies (my first ever) are getting put in gallon sized pots today. :) This Brug fever can really take ahold of you, and I promised Russ last night that I wouldn't grow a farm.

thanks! hee hee hee........

I promised my neighbor Cindy one of my 5, as she's been giving me all these big pots. She works at Costco, and comes home with new trees, bushes, etc. all the time. She doesn't know what a Brug is - but I told her she'd love it, and to keep it inside during the winter.

Ooooh Karrie, they do look nice!

Let's see. We have three acres and I think it takes 15 or 20 to make it a farm, so you should be able to handle a couple hundred brugs. LOL! They look great Karrie.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Congrats! They are so pretty and green!!!

so...... as a non expert on Brugs, do you think these are goodies then? They seem to be doing just as well in their new pots, just bigger now. LOTZ of very green, and their stems are very healthy. Not getting tall - they seem to be weigh lifters or something............

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

That's a good way to have them. Hefty in the trunk area to handle the weight of all the blooms you will have or the wind.

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

kewl! then I will keep handling them this way! :) I do like them green and healthy this way. They may take longer this way, but I do like firm trunks.

5 or whatever days later update - after transplanting. The size of these trunks are now about (1/2 inch diameter) in size. They seem to behandling this transplant well. I didn't have all the ingredients for kaufmann's rec, but I put in water (0f course) with a tad that stuff that makes me taste bad stuff in the morning, oh yeah, tea tree oil, 1 TBSP miracle grow granulaurs, and a tablespoon of kelp concentrate (to one gallon water). They seem to be very very happy this way. Just wanted to share that with you all. :)

Thanks Karrie. Sound like it is sure working for you.

Just wanted to share that with some of you - I think at the first, anyways, we don't need them all. Ya think??????? All them ingredients?

I personally think they like to be talked to........ my cat sings go them! I talk to them..... they seem to like both of us.

and these myths about cigarettes? Hubby smokes, and he has helped me without washing his hands.............

go figure.

Do I have "well trained" brugs????? They are healthy! lol!

((btw, I told him about that cigarette thing))

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

I just had a talk with them.

Told them to be nice to be other friends in the room, and if they didn't they'd have to deal with me.

Talking to plants helps - especially these types

Call me crazy, but if you had the greenhouse I have in this little sunroom upstairs, you'd WONDER!

:) god bless little plants.

scold them when they interfere or threaten them with outdoors - that works great!
