Hazel, I love that bright purple. The seeds you gave me sprouted and I gave the extra plants away. My plant is coming along; loving the excessive heat we have had this week.

Are the leaves on this one turning purple yet? Sometimes the plant has to mature some before they do. My Mother is out of the hospital, has a pacemaker and has no back pain. The treatment for the fractures in her back due to osteoporosis is like a miracle. The "glue" seals the bones together where they are broken and the heat from the "glue" kills the nerves so there is no more pain. She had this done 2 years ago to repair other fractures when the treatment was fairly new. I am hoping that others read this post who need similar treatment or know of someone who does in case they have never heard of it before. She hopped right up in my SUV yesterday with no pain at all. She just needs time to recuperate. Now I have to recuperate some too. Thanks for asking.

I am glad to hear the good news, and to learn of that procedure for osteoporosis ( I will likely be a candidate for that, my Mom already has a hump on the back...I better sit up straight and drink some milk!)

The pepper had dark burgundy/purple leaves from the start, even the cotyledons were dark. It hasn't gotten big enough to flower yet, but I am looking forward to it.

htop, where did you find seed for this pretty? Are you growing indoors as a houseplant?

Very interesting what they are doing now for osteoporosis.

Lenjo, I bought it as a small transplant and have saved seeds. It is growing in a hanging basket outdoors. I brought it in during the winter each time we were supposed to have a hard freeze so it never died back. If you want some seeds email me with your address.
