Seeking Philodendron Pink Princess
AA I had one for a couple of years...it didn't grow well and looked lanky so it got pitched...sorry..
There is a "pink princess" listed now for $19.95 on eBay.
I have the $19.99 Pink Princess sniped.
I hope you get it.
AA...did you notice the photo switch on that Pink Princess? Don't know if it was intentional buy the seller or what ???
The picture of the one that is up for auction ONLY has 2 leaves for $20.00 plus shipping.
They grow incredible slow so....just thought I'd give you a heads up.I didn't catch it until I looked at the auction a couple of times...
I'm not knocking the seller on this one because she does have nice plants -but I've seen larger plants for the same money.
Just thought you might like to know....
I just looked at it again & saw that it can't be sent to Arizona, Louisiana, Texas & California. Why is that?
Because they have strict hort laws.
Just curious ...
I have many plants that came from Florida and was wondering why some never mention it & others do.
Why do so many sellers from Florida have this restriction but you don't seem to A.A. ?
Does it affect a persons personal trades too?
Only licensed nurseries are required to obey. I sell plants for fun, and to fund my personal collection. I've never got redflagged either, Only had a problem with a shipment from Hawaii to my location in Florida. Customs said they "found bugs" and the package was discarded, I WAS LIVID !!! They were just too lazy to seal back up the package. Besides I don't think the hardcore hawaiians are too pleased when someone sends away thier plants, remember Taro is much reviered, and basis of ancient hawaiin folklore and food.
For example: People in India worship & bathe themselves in cow urine. How do you think they would feel if you went over there and slaughtered one? Heck, many people in third world countries consider Domestic Dog a delicacy and monkey brains the "food of the gods". File it under "Its a strange, strange world".
Thanks A.A. for clearing that up.
I figured it had to do with the license, but you never know until you ask.
I think I would be angry too if they distroyed my plants during shipment.
I did know about the Taro being a special plant in some cultures. We do indeed live in a very diverse world and what is "strange" to me, is probable the norm for someone else.
I do know in some cultures they wouldn't dare eat a pig, but I ain't given up my bacon & eggs for nobody.LOL
Thanks for the info, at least now I won't take it personal when they exclude Texas .
Glad to know you can at ship your plants with no hassles.
Yeah, well ya'll say don't mess with Texas....so we don't mess with ya' LOL
You are too funny!
