This is what I found in Preissel's book:
The blossoms are trumpet shaped, 5 1/2 to 12" long. The lenght of peaks on edges 1 1/2 -3", leaves are often large, flower posting nodding to hanging vertically. Calyx opening 2-5 slits. Narrowed part of carolla at end of calyx-not visible.
What can you add in your opinion, photos, hybrids from aurea!
Let's move on to... Aurea
I only have one Aurea Pink picture, the plant originally from Native Habitat. It was very hot last year and it was planted in full sun and didn't really like it that hot.
Wanted to add that I have several multihybrids that have a good amount of aurea in them, but in the states, pure aurea plants are scarce.

Brugie is this the one you sent to me. A pure Aurea Pink. It's fixing to start blooming any day now.
It would have to be. That is the only Aurea that I had and would you believe I lost my cuttings....LOL!! Tracey sent one for me though, so I'm back in business. PURE??.....I don't know about that. My original cutting came from Eric who purchased it from NH. I guess right now I'm assuming that it is pure.
Lucky you, Donna. Mine died.
Ada I may cut her back after she blooms. She grew very crooked as my GH was so full I couldn't get in the and move any plants around. So a few of the smalls brugs are crooked from trying to reach for the light from under the big brugs :-( If I do I will send you a cutting.
Oh thank you so much, Donna. That's so sweet of you.
Is that your hoophouse Donna? I remember pics of that last year. filled to the brim! LOL
Margie, here is some more info on Aureas but the 35 ft makes me skeptical. Is that in its native land or a typo? I could go for a 35 foot RK!!

Yep Kell it was over filled. I had smaller pots sitting in larger pots. Everything was double decker LOL
WOW... Shirley lovely pink one. Goodness, now I want the pink aurea to go with my white:) LOL
Maybe one of the sellers that are members here would have one now. Otherwise, I can try to get one started this summer if I have some basal shoots.
Okay, thanks for the thought! :)
