Wow, Amanda, you've been busy. Hope your CT doesn't bother you too badly. Take care.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'll bet he will be the first one to brag on you when the blooms start opening up.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Hey, if I am not dead yet, you should be fine!

You better take care now and rest. No sense in doing more damage. Can't wait to see all your babies flowering.

Homestead, FL(Zone 10b)

Wow Amanda, you certainly were very busy but you will have a beautiful garden as payment for your hard work. I'll be waiting for the photographs.

Rest well and feel better.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

You go girl! I hope your hands feel better soon...I do feel your pain, as I was there this time last month. Can't wait to see flowers photos when they bloom. Your deep pink suave is getting ready to put on quite a show -- she has 7 buds. Will post when the first one opens. Take care and God bless you Amanda! Gretchen

Tell me something, why do they care how many brugs or plants we have. Yesterday I received my brugs from Tracey, BEAUTIFUL, they came in this huge box, I ment to burn it before he came home, was planning on just putting them in the greenhouse he would have never noticed. But he had a fit when he saw the box, what did you get in that huge box, I had to tell him brugs. But he knew I ordered them back in February, he paid for them for me for my Anniversary. I told him these were special brugs. I have 40 seedling growing, they are getting huge, never though they would grow that quickly. If I would have burnt that box he would have never noticed 4 more brugs. I'm not going to plant them in the ground, so now I'm looking for 5 gallon pots to put my seedlings in. I sometimes wonder if I have CT, but this time of year everything seems to be hurting. I did move most of my seedling out of the greenhouse yesterday and wouldn't you know a huge storm this morning, calling for hail, but so far just rain. Keeping my fingers crossed. Cathy

Most of our DH's simply do not understand our love for these plants. If they did not mean so much to us, we would never spend the hours of work keeping them beautiful.

When mine are blooming, then I hear a different story from my DH and he is telling everyone how lovely the yard is.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Everytime the doorbell rings now my DH says "not another brug, please." They just don't understand. I tell him to just compare it to when he gets a new golf club. LOL

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

My mailman is the one that gives me a look when he brings me another package with plants! I learned that he collects matchbox cars, so it is a joke with us....our addictions!

I am getting so many trades along with purchases, that my DH is totally confused at this point and doesn't even ask! But earlier if I got rid of the box and planted the plant, he was none the wiser....now I don't even bother to hide it anymore! And yes, he loves how the yard is looking !!

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

That's too funny...I just gentle remind DH of his book collection that wall papers our den, livingroom and bedroom etc....he understands completely then.:>) At least mine can be washed when they start colecting dust.:) lol

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I must admit I understnad why my DH hates brugs. I have them literally all over. I have them or what is needed to keep them, all over the house and yard. I am still starting seeds and growing them up to 1 ft on this huge seed rack in my family room. I have dirt in my sink everyday from watering these seedlings in the sink. And do not even try to walk out on the porch. And forget the backyard, wall to wall. Now I am starting to move them to the front courtyard. He HATES them!

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

Kell,You poor thing! I bet he loves YOU,though?
Surely he has a comparable weakness?

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Yes, kell, you just have to find a weakness in him and compare, compare, compare!!!
Can we help you find one? How about sports, hobbies???

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

He must MsCritterkeeper, for I am still breathing and we have a date to go out tonight! Far away from the brugs!! LOL

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

That's great Kell...guess you will have to hide the brug bloom in your purse instead of your hair tonight.lol

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Well, it happened again today. The mailman rang the doorbell just as we were leaving to run errands. Firs the mailman said "No more, please." (IMHO it's none of his business) LOL Then DH said "Oh no, another brug. Just what you need." I told him it wasn't a brug, but one little daylily this time.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Do ya think he was disappointed? LOL!

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Sylvia - where are you going to plant anything else? For anyone who doesn't know it, Minigrannie has the most gorgeous, chock-a-block full garden. I was blessed to see it during the early Spring, and I can't wait to see it all in bloom (in person) one of the days!!!

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

LOL Kell...I can't stop laughing about dirt in your sink. I always have dirt in my sink from watering and I know DH is tired of it....but he just goes around it and goes on. The problem here is that he really doesn't have an 'addiction' so I can't hold anything over his head. I guess Nascar and sports would be his only addiction....LOL....that is why I'm always outside puttering around on Saturday and Sunday. Trying to stay away from all the sports.

Monroe, WI(Zone 4b)

It got to the point here last year when Spouse saw a priority mail box, he'd look at me and I'd say......."It didn't cost me anything, just postage, I made a trade". I think he's kinda given up. And yes, he is one of the first ones to tell people how great my huge brugs in front of the house look and how wonderful they smell when they are in bloom! We have to let them think it is their ideas, you know!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

LOL Anna, sounds like you have it down to a "T". We have to get around them some way. I also tell mine, it's just a trade.

Brundidge, AL(Zone 8b)

well he mumbled a little and went on, so i guess i am okay. I haven't slept in two nights My hands and arms, have given me a fit, i will post again in a few days

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

oh sounds terrible. Better to do a little each day! I hope you feel better soon, Amanda!

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Feel better soon!!!

Orange Park, FL(Zone 8b)

Bless your heart, I HOPE you are doing better soon!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Amanda, hope you feel better soon.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Hope u feel better soon..

Brundidge, AL(Zone 8b)

thank you so much for the kind words!. I am feeling lots better. I had strep throat besides over working my arms and hands, but I slept a lot better last night.Whew, It is a great mothers day!! Hope you are having a good one also.
I got all my baby plants around my porch planted out in the yard, and that area is tidied up a bit now.I can take it easy for a little while now, water when it is dry, and just watch everything bloom.Atleast until my other seeds germinate LOL. I just can not quit seeing what i can propogate, I am a gluten for punishment!! Yesterday I started these cuttings:
yellow madivilla vines, more angel trumpet cuttings, white wisteria, bridal wreath, pomigranite trees, and planted about 10 small seedling brugs in my MIL's yard.I staked 30 tomato plants and 10 pepper plants. I planted one row of cucumbers and half a row of squash, and hoed in between my tomatoes. I really think what got my hands hurting was my fishing trip last week, but it was so fun!! oh and i dead headed my climbing rose bush. My Dh helped me with that , He said he loved that rose bush, I was so surprised!! I am getting to him!! I thought he hated plants LOL I started some cuttings of it also.BUSY BUSY BUSY the spring fever has hit me !!!!
