Bengal Tiger Canna damaged

My dear sweet bassett plowed through one of my beds this morning and snapped off the emerging shoot of my one and only Bengal Tiger Canna. :-(
Is it done for, or will it send up another shoot?

it will probably send up another shoot. if it wasnt broken to far down it will still come up from the existing one. usually they are pretty hardy. i have broke several over the years but they come back.

Your canna will be fine. It will just send up another shoot. That has happened to me more than once. I have an over-zelous hyperactive schnauzer.

rikerbear, ur canna will be fine.. they will shoot new one. I have same problem with ours which Teddy the lab likes to digging..

I agree..my terriers do a number on the beds, including the Cannas. The Canna's are pretty tough. I do cringewhen they get near the liliums though.

My schnauzers name is Schroeder. He is a monster.

I believe I see new shoot growth....could also be another canna altogether.
