Seedlings blooming!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Shoot, I looked at the tag and now I can't remember the cross, they look like aurea buds to me! It was Rosamond X something! This seedling is a left over from last summer that never bloomed. I have alot of them starting to bud for the first time.

Too exciting!!

I never seem to get dark pinks here. I will be anxious to see if Margie gets hers dark. The only one that gets dark for me is L'Amour and that is not really pink. So it makes it hard to evaluate seedlings. I would hate to toss a brug because it is light pink for me but it really would be dark pink for everyone else!

Brundidge, AL(Zone 8b)

oh- boy!! i can't wait to see what it looks like exciting for sure!!

Aw shucks what can I say? This one is a beauty too! I am so envious of your green thumb! And all your glorious brugs! Please show us MORE!!!! Also just to satisfy my curiosity (cause I am dying here) How long does it take for a itty bitty little plant to produce something like that? I tell mine everyday to "grow babies grow" "Mama wants some pretty flowers" it doesn't seem to be speeding them along at a very rapid pace. WHAT IS THE MAJIC WORD? Please do not tell me patience, I think I am already running out. Is that the only way? :( I guess I am gonna have to figure out how to put a picture in a post so you all can see what I am seeing and tell me how I'm doing. When oh when will the newbie be worn off and I have blooms???

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

These were slow for I planted them late in the summer last year and left them in a small pot. They are in 2 gallon pots. I have a couple still in gallon pots and a couple in 2 gallon pots. They were kept outside all winter and didnot start growing again until recently. But with care, they could bloom if you got them going in February by the end of the summer.

I found another bud on another of Susie's seedlings........BF X Rosamond. And this one will be ready soon to pop forth! Actually I have a few buds on several new seedlings! Things are starting to bloom galore!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I was kidding! LOL
In another few months I may be begging you to take some of them! LOL
Until then, you will just have to grow your own seedlings.......I will get you some seeds.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Its becoming exciting!!! Tell them to hurry up!
I keep my fingers crossed for you Kell, that it will be your 'dream' bloom!!!

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Kell, don't ever toss a light pink unless you toss it my way. The light pinks are my favorites. Guess I just have a pale personality. LOL

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Kell, we're as excited as you are about your seedlings and what they will produce. Talk sweet to them. LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

These are all from Susie's seeds. I realized an interesting thing today. I have seedlings that did not bloom last year that are in the garden, not in pots, that are 8+ft tall and finally in bud. I have ones the same age that I never moved past a 3 gallon pot. They are in bud the same as the big ones but only 3 or 4 ft tall. And I have 3 - 1 gallon ones that have remained at under 2 ft and have not budged. They just stay the same. No Y.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Are Susie's aureas Kell? They like to grow big and tall.

Olathe, KS(Zone 6a)

How long does a seedling take to bloom usually? I have several 1+month old seedlings and am wondering if they will bloom on their 1st summer? I need to know as I plan on giving some away for Mother's Day presents. I'll need to give them cuttings if i doubt the seedlings will bloom this summer. Please advise!
Thanks, JD
Kell, You go girl! I can't wait to see them;)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Tracey was able to get some to bloom in 5 months, but the ones I grew last year took about 10 months.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Lots of the pinks Liz. You know me and pinks! BF, Rosamond and L'Amour.

Jeff, fertlize fertilize and fertilize
