Golden State Bonsai Collection

Fremont, CA(Zone 9a)

I have always been intrigued by bonsai, but never really tried it. I visited the Golden State Bonsai Collection this last weekend and I was really impressed. Here is a Sequoia semperviren. I posted a few more shots at http://davesgarden.com/t/428424/

Great plants! If you get to Boston, come to the Arnold Arboretum here and view their Bonsai collection. Several are over 100 years old. The Curator, Mr. Peter del Tredici, can be found there on many days wiring, clipping and dispensing advice about the collection and about the plants he has personally shaped. I love to visit these plants. I would love to visit yours, too!
