Bonsai specimen I just got... great staging of the roots in this little pot. Hope I can keep it going... I'm not that good with bonsais historically

Just wondering how you did with your bonsai! I just got one and could use any advice you might have for me. Love the roots on yours!

Lasted a year... but eventually forgot to water it for a few days and that was that. Bonsais tie me down too much, and I have no time or inclination for automatic watering systems, so I will just have to stay away from Bonsais from now on... Here in So Cal, in the summers, you literally have to water your bonsai's 2x a day, or they will croak. Been told that over and over, but needed to actually experience it a few times before I actually believed it... sigh.

Mine will be inside during the winter here. The pot that it's in is a self-watering one. I was just wondering about how much light it requires.

The more light the better.

Gotcha. Thanks! :-)
