Some questions and a few pictures

Independence, MO(Zone 5a)

Hi All you brug addicted people...:)
It has been a long winter but i am back in the swing of gardening.. Yeahhhh

I have over wintered some brugs and I took a few pictures of them to share. It was real close to sunset so the lighing is kind of weird. But you will get the idea. We recently had alot of wind and it was a little rough on the poor little guys but do these look normal? Also a piture of my stray Mr. Kitty he visits for the free food:)

And my question is... can i use murphys oil soap to keep the bugs off my brugs? I know there are several things listed on the recipe thread but most of it seems a bit above my head...

Ok, enough for my first post of the season....

Huggers to all

Great pictures. I can't answer your question about the Murphy's Oil soap since I've never used it. Hope someone can come in and give you all kinds of advice.

They all look great. I would give the top ones a dose of fertilizer to get them woken up from winter. Your seedling look great.
You kitties are so cute! And you front yard is great. I wish I had so much land.

Welcome back Mercy, glad to see you here!

Having a large yard is great but...makes for a lot of decision making about where to put what...i have alot of established beds but nothing to exciting...yet. Since i have come here i realized i didnt know much about gardening and i am pretty much a run of the mill gardener...but thanks to everyone here i am learning and have gotton a ton of great ideas and information.... every year i get a little braver about spreading my gardener wings. I will have to get my new pond in progress pictures up....and keep all of you updated on that too :)
it is great to be back ..you guys are great

this is from the ground looking up to the area...the black iron will somehow be a part of this plan???? I have several pieces of it...

this pond will be much bigger and have a doubled sided waterfall ( hubby's idea)...Not sure what i will do with the ugly walls yet..not sure if i can get anykind of vines to grow there. I have no real plans i just started digging...it gets about half and half sun/shade throughout the day....

Oh my! Those iron pieces could stay right where they are. What a lovely scenario you could create with those (such as two small pedestals with two large ferns or hostas -- like an old New Orleans French Quarter setting). I hope you keep the pics coming. It looks great!
