We have roots!

A TINY little piece broke off Creamsickle during last week's storms, & I put it in water. I'm not kidding about how tiny it is, the cup that it's in is one of those little things that comes on top of a medicine bottle. The stem on this is barely over one inch long, & I found roots on it today!

WTG...........She must be much better at rooting in the spring than the fall. I had a heck of a time.

Did you get it to root, Shirley? This is a little piece that broke off the cutting that I got from you. Mine rooted without any problem in the fall, roots in 2 weeks & potted up a couple of days later. I didn't really expect this tiny bit to root, but Creamsickle was on the top of my wish list for so long that I didn't want to waste even the smallest piece of it.

Yes Ronna, I finally got one to root. It was driving me nuts. I tried water, I tried soil, went back to water and they kept turning to mush and I kept trimming it off and trying again. Finally when the last three of the cuttings was down to about two inches long, I pulled them out of the water, trimmed the mush off and stuck them in soil. Out of three, two rooted. Maybe she was getting even with me for complaining about the way her blooms wouldn't turn peachy color for me. LOL!

Don't we all? I just saw one on ebay, here's the link.

If you don't do ebay, someone should have cuttings later on in the year - maybe even me, if my teeny baby & her bigger sister grow well!

I haven't checked any of the brug sellers to see if they have it in stock.
