Hello crimsontsavo....welcome to a very long and growing addiction! If you think you're getting addicted....then YOU ARE! You will love brugs. I love my datura too and have grown them for years. But I am so in love with brugs...I think about them all the time. LOL Enjoy!!!

Datura will bloom the first year. Most of them are grown as annuals. Sounds like you'll have a yard full!

!! LOL- I - oh dear!!!

Maybe I can swap some on DG? I just packed some up for MollyMc. We'll see how well seedlings ship. :D

I can make a hedge out of them maybe? LOL.
This is so exciting!
Thanks guys!

How many days did your datura seeds take to sprout? I planted my first ones,on April 26th....6 days ago. When should I expect that they should begin sprouting? They are in rockwool.
I am wondering because I placed them on a heating pad and I think they may have gotten too hot. It may have killed them! I do have some left to start new ones...what do you think?

Just be patient! Some will come up very soon and some might take up to 6-8 weeks. I put mine on heat and have good luck.

Brinda...does your heating pad have a thermostat? Mine does not and I never had trouble with things getting too hot before, but when I tested the rockwool temp...it was 88 degrees!

I can tell you are thrilled about your new Datura seedlings. Have fun and I know you have many other varieties of Daturas and Brugs before the end of the year..........lol

Very thrilled!

Mum soaked her seeds for a week in water. Then planted. They came up after a few days.

Mine took weeks to come up after one night of soaking.

LOL picturelady....my heat does not have a thermostat! I use the cablevision box to put my seedlings on. LOL But it works well! I guess I should invest in something with a thermostat though!

I just soak and toss/bury then pray. :-))
