i'm scared to admit and tell bugs, cutworms something ate 2 brug.cuttings i had every leaf off.. then one other died on me i guess as much as i want so bad can't make it .i have seeds planted 5 or 6 weeks now no sprouts.. so disappointed in myself feel so stupid- dumb... one N. sent me all leaves fell off doing nothing but looks dead.. oh i feel rotten .. so sorry.. i was so proud had some going.. so i just come look here. but since going in hosp. in the morning , i must be honest tell whats happened to my brugs..thanks all for kindness here.. i did get jack pulpit up good though first time them to.. still wanting voo doo lily.. blessings all. i really made this to long sorry.....when get thru this deal i will start some more seeds , i never give up or let anything defeat me!!!

I have heard that the worse thing you can do with a new brug cutting is over-water. It is hard not to over-water, as it feels like watering is one way we take care of them.
It is never too late to start again....so just take care of yourself for now...the brugs will be there when you can take care of them....everyone here seems so nice & I am sure will send you new cuttings!

Don't feel bad Hope. We've all lost our fair share of brugs. Take care of yourself first... worry about the plants later. It might be easier to start from rooted plants and I'm sure there will be a few available this summer.
I've planted WAY more seedlings then I have room to take care of. I'm going to need someone to take a few off my hands. Give me a holler when you get out of the hopital and I'll send you a box.

Hope...I noticed somewhere on one of your posts that you like Canadian Border Patrol daylily. I have one, but it is still small. When it gets more fans, I will send you some. I will put it down on my list!

thank you you are all so kind makes me feel better. i'm coming home tomorrow to wait on labs they send them somewhere last time to had to wait 7 or 10 days then back in hospital for the surgery but i'm hoping believeing its not cancer this time. its got to me more .. so i'm just hoping its not.. and not do all again.. blessings thanks so much.

Oh Hope, So sorry to hear about your seedlings. I know just how you must feel about them. BUT I think just about all of us brug folks have had that happen....and more than once even !!!...FIRST thing is for you to get well...then email me. I can send a few rooted cuttings for you so you'll have blossoms for this year. Then later...when you are feeling better, I will get some seeds off to you.

Hang in there Hope. I'll be anxious to hear what you find out from the tests. I do also hope it isn't the C again. You take care of you first. Without your health, you can't take care of plants. Don't be afraid to post, several of my seedlings got eaten by Roly Poly's (sp) and grasshopers, and I didn't want to tell anybody either.. so, there I did it.

I'm sure all of us have killed our fair share of brugs. Personally, i have NEVER gotten a seed to sprout, and I've killed the best of them. Maya, peaches n cream, arborea, culbrea, etc....upsetting, but NOT the end of the world.
When youre ready for more, im sure we can all get together and get you on the right path.
I survived female cancer in Dec after having a full hysterectomy. I had my annual mammo last month and they detected "something" there. It was so deep seated that 7 different people couldnt feel it.
I went in yest for a biopsy and they took 16 biopsies of the area. I should have the results, hopefully by friday, at the latest weds.

When it rains it pours.
Anticipation was getting the best of me today so i called my doc. I have an appointment on weds, but couldnt wait that long.
She told me i have whats called DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) stage 0 breast cancer It hasnt spread yet (good news) and may never, but thats not a chance i can take with my family history.
Ill decide Weds if ill go with the lumpectomy or a simple masectomy. Holy cow, im only 35, i shouldn't have already had cancer and now dealing with another one.
