New Kong coleus

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Has anybody seen the new Kong coleus? It is supposed to be huge, and came out on May 1. I think one leaf is supposed to be as big as my hand, and it does not like sun, but does fine in shade. I have only read about it, but nobody around here has it, or knows about it.

I grew Kong and another coleus almost as large as Kong + Magilla Perrila in a part sun environment on my patio with good results. I'm going to have it again this year. It is wonderful to say the least and is a fine addition to any garden. It has had a few people peering around the corner of my patio to get a closer look. Good luck with Kong and may you have a fine gardening year!

My Wal-Mart has Kong coleus. Lvs are huge even though they are in small pots, maybe 4 1/2 inch. Just came in a few days ago.

Here;'s a thread on the Kongs from the Coleus forum, they weren't exactly popular for those that tried them.

I have 3 in the greenhouse and will put them out this summer but don't think I will buy any more. They really don't perform as will as the other coleus. Then the money you have to pay for them.
