Wow, that is really pretty. I haven't seen it around here yet. Love those leaves.

Wow, where did you get them???

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I usually get 2 or 3 flats of them,I love them,if you nip all the buds off when you plant them, they will fill out better, and soon be loaded with blooms.

Root , do find them locally?

I don't believe I have ever seen these, very pretty.

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

Are those a type of the New Guinea varieties? Sure are pretty!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

I got mine at Myers. Blooms are extremely large, love them.

They sell the New Guineas here, but not by the flats. They sell them in larger, individual containers and go for about $3.00 plus a piece. WISH I could get them by the flats, like the other annuals. I can't afford to buy individuals for $3.00 plus, in large quantities, and if I were to buy them, I'd want at least 12 of them. (at LEAST) I'll put some money into perennials, but I am very skimpy moneywise, when it's only going to be around for one season.

Root just nip the flower buds and they fill out faster?

That just tells you how much I like them,I think they were 2.50,and I got a few flats,I always pull all blooms on anything I plant.
